Vladan has a strong basketball background and joins British Basketball from the Leicester Riders where he was Community Development Manager. In his role there he managed a team of community coaches and implemented new initiatives to develop the sport in the local area.
In 2010/2011, Vladan was Director of Association of basketball coaches for the Voivodina region of Serbia as part of the Serbian Association of Basketball Coaches where he developed educational programmes for more than 400 coaches of all levels. In 2009 he was Head Coach and Director of Basketball and Player Development of BC Vojvodina Novi Sad in the 1.B Serbian League.
Warwick Cann will be working closely with Vladan on the development of elite basketball players in the UK and he commented on the appointment: "The Performance Pathway Manager position is another step in the right direction for both British Basketball and England Basketball.
"Vladan will bring good coaching skills and program development expertise from his experiences in Serbia and in the UK. We have a huge task ahead of us still to reach our goals but Vladan will certainly be a huge help to our national system and specifically the England talent pathway."
