On his debut last year Deng was restricted to just five minutes on court due to a recent wrist injury but this year he enjoyed the experience. He told the Chicago Tribune: "Every time you make it you should feel like you belong. Last year, I felt comfortable, but there is something even more special about being a repeat All-Star.
"Last year my wrist was hurting me. I felt it in the first quarter and I told (Thibodeau) I was done for the night. Tonight I just played, took shots and had fun."
The event, as always, was a spectacle for the audience with the first dunk of the game coming just 16 seconds in.
The West led after each of the first three quarters, though was never ahead by more than eight points through three periods. Kevin Durant led the way for the West with 30 points in the annual showcase.
