After being down 41-36 at the half, Drew Sullivan's side fought back in the final period with a 10-2 run which put them in front for the remainder of the game. The Rocks tried desperately to get themselves back into the game and a pair of free-throws from Gareth Murray got them back to within a point at 72-73 with 22 seconds remaining in the contest. That was as close as the Rocks would get as the Riders held on in the dying second and three points from Losonsky secured the victory for Leicester.
Sullivan had 10 points and seven rebounds to add to his team's victory.
Meanwhile in the NBA, Luol Deng's side the Chicago Bulls were defeated 102-72 by Oklahoma City Thunder.
The Thunder dominated defensively contesting almost everything the Bulls put up limiting them to just 29.06 percent shooting, the lowest opponent field goal percentage in the NBA this season.
Deng however had a strong game top scoring for his side with 13 points alongside team mate Nate Robinson.
Sullivan plays again on Friday when the Riders take on the London Lions in the BBL Championship while Deng takes to the court tomorrow when the Bulls play Cleveland.
