GB women's head coach, Damian Jennings said: "Playing a junior men's team is a very appropriate test for us at this stage. With a two week phase of training since Belarus and before the Surrey Sports Park tournament, to be able to break up those 14 days with a scrimmage game is a useful indicator of development.
"We certainly saw further growth in our defensive schemes since Belarus and our scoring ability from broken play continues to improve. The week ahead is a critical training block as we prepare to host Israel, Germany and Greece."
Kim Butler top scored for the GB women with 12 points and five rebounds, supported by Chantelle Handy who added eight points. All players saw good minutes as their training builds towards the Surrey Sports Park four-team tournament this weekend from the 25-27 May 2013.
