One of only two players, along with Nate Reinking, to remain from the inception of the Great Britain programme in 2006, Andrew has been the GB team’s captain in recent years. He starred in GB’s successful promotion campaign out of Division B in 2006-7 when he averaged 10.6 ppg. However he was been a stalwart presence ever since and enters 2012 as the country’s most second-capped player (behind Reinking).
Andrew was a member of the England international team that won a bronze medal at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, Australia, where he averaged 18.3 ppg and was named in the All-Tournament team.

Drew is a former 100 and 200 metres athlete who competed at schools level in Haringey. His favourite Olympic memory is watching the United States ‘Dream Team’ from the 1992 Games in Barcelona. He lists his biggest influence as his late junior coach at Islington White Heat, Joe White, and his proudest accomplishment as “seeing the national team growing from one made up primary of BBL players to one that includes players based at the very highest level.” He graduated from the School of Arts & Sciences at Villanova University. Married to wife Gemma, the couple have two daughters, Cody and Hope.
In addition to playing, Drew runs a coaching programme that gives British youths experience of the challenge of professional basketball.
