A 5’9” point guard from Colchester, Kaznica began her basketball career with Ipswich Basketball Club before she was put in contact with Tanya McKay, the head coach at the University of Winnipeg, eventually earning a scholarship to the Canadian college.

After graduating in 2004, Kaznica returned to Europe and spent her rookie professional season in the top division in Holland, with Tubbergen, before returning to Britain and signing for the Rhondda Rebels, with whom she would spend the next three seasons, helping them to win the EBL regular season championship in 2006 and the EBL championship outright in 2008. Kaznica also gained valuable European experience by starring for the Rebels in the EuroCup in each of her three seasons in Wales.

Kaznica has been no less successful on the international stage, representing England at every level from junior through to senior levels and playing her part on the English women’s team that won the bronze medal at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, Australia. GB came calling later that summer and Kaznica would become an established back-up point guard on the national team in the 2006, 2007 and 2009 campaigns.

At club level, the 2008-09 season saw Kaznica change country for a third time in her professional career, moving to Spain where she played for Alvargomez in the country’s second division.

Damian Jennings says: “Sally brought plenty of experience with her to the team, having played in college and in Spain, and also brought a genuine three-point threat with her. An excellent outside shooter, she has the terrific ability to come off the bench cold and hit big shots – she did it in a big game against Holland when we were winning promotion from Division B to A.”
