The 2009-10 season opened with Gamman starting a third consecutive season in Italian basketball as she continued to progress through the professional ranks.

A 6’1” forward, Gamman started her EBL career with the Solent Stars in 2004, quickly establishing herself as a starter, but she had already been earning a reputation in the international ranks having played for England at under-16 level, helping that team win the Four Nations Tournament in 1999.

A member of the GB team at the 2005 World University Games, Gamman also made her full England debut in that year, retaining her place on the England team that flew to Melbourne, Australia, and came home with the bronze medal from the basketball tournament at the Commonwealth Games.

Later that year, she followed the example of many of her Melbourne team mates and graduated to the resurrected GB team that was starting life in the B Division of Eurobasket, keeping her place for the two campaigns that saw GB successfully promoted to the A Division at the first time of asking.

Her reputation growing, Gamman, who has a law degree from Nottingham Trent University, was signed by Italian second division club Pakelo San Bonifacio and enjoyed two seasons with the team before moving on, for the 2009-10 campaign, to San Martino Di Lupari.

Damian Jennings says: “A very hard-working player who showed her commitment to our programme by playing through some painful injury problems. I’ve got a lot of time for Louise and the way she has gone about forging a career for herself because she has gone far further than perhaps her natural ability possibly should have allowed. She has shown people she can rebound all-day and her head never drops – two great qualities in this game.”
