Chris Finch

Chris Finch - Head Coach

Chris Finch has been at the helm of the British Men's programme since its inception in the spring of 2006 and will lead the side to their first Olympic Games since 1948.

Alongside his GB duties, Finch is Assistant Coach for NBA side, the Houston Rockets. Prior to this position, Finch was Head Coach at the Rockets D-League affiliate side, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.

In two seasons at the helm of the Vipers, Finch guided the side to back-to-back D-League Finals. He also led the Western Conference All-Stars to a win at the 2009 D-League All-Star Game in Dallas.

In addition to his work with the Standard Life GB men, Finch was a head coach of teams in England (Sheffield Sharks in the BBL), Germany (Giessen 46ers) and Belgium (Euphony Bree, Dexia Mons-Hainaut) from 1997-2009. Finch began his career in Sheffield and earned three BBL Cup Final titles while at the helm also being awarded the BBL Coach of the Year in 1998-99. The Sharks was also where he played during his four-year professional playing career.
